Turgen Valley is a scenic river valley about 75km from Almaty cutting into the mountains at the village of Turgen. A popular destination for day trips from the city, it is know for it’s waterfalls, trout farm, golden man statue, and as the gateway to the Assy Plateau
Being close to the city, it is a good destination for a day trip from the city or for a weekend getaway. For those who want to explore deeper into the mountains, there are many possibilities for longer trips also.
